A bit of background on me as a designer|
Welcome! You have made it to my fashion design portfolio.
I studied fashion design for four years at Kent State University– Go Flashes! KSU is ranked top 10 fashion school in the US. I focused on contemporary fashion design during my undergrad years.
There was never a plan B for only fashion. I grew up watching That So Raven and was always so inspired by how she modified her clothes to speak to her unique style. I knew from that show alone and the impulsive urge to cut up all my mom's Vogue magazines fashion would be my future.
I took every art class available at my high school to build my creative foundation. Then I went off to college to study fashion and even had the opportunity to learn in Florence, Italy. It changed how I designed and put into perspective the history of designing.
Before graduating, I was extended a full-time offer to work in NYC. I have been here ever since and have collided my passion for fashion and my need to constantly talk about it to become a fashion writer.
That's my story! Check out my previous work below–
Aerie BTS Capsule
BACKGROUND
While interviewing for Aerie, I was tasked with creating a Back to School collection for 2021 inspired by recent trends and translating the brand's identity for the Knits and Woven Top categories. I was extended a Full-Time offer as an Assistant Designer for Knit Tops, Wovens and Outerwear.
LC Lauren Conrad
I have compiled a slide show of the Knit Tops, Dresses, and Sweaters that I assisted with developing during my time with Kohl's Corporate Design Office.
BACKGROUND
Senior Thesis Magazine
My Senior Thesis concept was focused on revamping of everyday pieces that would extend the closet life of your staple items to allow for a more sustainable lifestyle. I pinpointed a solution to this problem through fabric choice, color palette, silhouette, and tailoring.
Moroccan Nomad
Background:
While studying in Florence, Italy, I created this draped jumpsuit from originally a hot pink fabric dyed using coffee beans and tea. My inspiration stemmed from Moroccan fashion and culture. My color palette was chosen from natural elements you would see in a Morrocan desert scene; the sun, sand, and wildlife.
Background:
During my time in Florence, Italy, I was tasked with designing a wool coat that was motivated by the Falling Water house created by Frank Lloyd Wright. I took inspiration from something as unconventional as the blueprints when designing into my coat. My coat was photographed at the Ponte Vecchio as well as Krka National Park.

Rock The Runway Disney Good Vs. Evil 2018 (Ranked Top 3 out of 17) My take on The Princess and the Frog.
Jordan's outfit was a representation of the scene "Almost There". In that scene she was wearing a white dress with a feather boa. Instead of doing a literally copy of that outfit; I decided to do a short two tiered layered halter dress to keep it flirt and fun. I also added the fur drape to add some class to the look.
Talaizia was both my princess and my frog. I didn't want to do a literal poofy dress as you would expect. I wanted to do a fusion of her as both a frog and a princess in a more modern everyday kind of look. In the movie, Tiana was a hard working woman and I wanted to show that in a softer power suit kind of way. I ended up doing a off the shoulder two tiered ruffled top with a flared sleeve and a wide flared pant. I styled it with a long gold chain rather than being cliche and doing a crown.
